Hello Philippines and Hello World! I really have fun in writing so I guess it wouldn't hurt to share this passion to the WWW. What convinced me to write my own blog? Well, my mother is an avid blogger, herself. I got so curious that I decided to have mine too ...again. I had one before but I was too busy to maintain it and it is so melancholic so let's just forget about it. Brand new blog for a brand new start.
My mother says that it's a stress reliever and it really is. Writing really reduces stress based on my experience. So, for all bloggers out there, keep it up! Stay fit and healthy.
What's amazing about writing is that you are not only able to exercise those fingers but you're also able to exercise your mental faculties. That's a good way of preventing your neurons from burning out. Thus, this new activity is just right for me. I really want to keep my neurons healthy because they can't be replaced.
I also would like to make a public diary (thus, the title). I tried keeping a bunch of journals back then. The first one was required by my English teacher so I had no choice.
It often had an introduction like this:
Dear DAIRY,
Today is (insert day here). I came in late for class this morning BEACAUSE my sister did not wake up early.
When I read it now, I always end up laughing at my "old" (isn't that ironic?) self.
It was then that I realized that it was fun to keep a record of who you are through writing.
So, I decided to have my very own diary and I wrote on it a lot. I wrote when I'm happy, excited, bored, exhausted and, especially when I'm sad. It was a medium in which I can be whoever I want to be or just be myself.
It is in writing that I can be free. I can say whatever I wanna say. It is where I can express what I really feel. It is where I can be me, a living paradox.
I hope that through this blog, I'll be able to share a part of myself, as a person from the past, living in the present and writing for the future.
